My name is Indrek and I’m a 23-year-old web developer living in Estonia.

I started blogging in July 2009 so as you can say I’m pretty new at this. At first I was always very skeptical about blogging – I remember thinking why would anybody own a blog, even more writing in it. I can’t quite remember how it all changed, but here I am. Probably after realising that blogging isn’t merely expressing your thoughts and daily activities. It’s so much more!

Getting started with WordPress

My first encounter with WordPress was when my boss launched his first blog. That’s where it all started. As I took a closer look at it and checking out the managing side of it I fell in love with it. It’s simplicity to set it up in only a few minutes, flexibility to power blogs, websites in all ranges and even use it as a CMS system – I mean who wouldn’t love it.

Shortly after that I wanted to try it out myself so my first blog got started. As I was only a newbie at it most posts were merely to link to other blogs articles. The whole concept of it was very basic and to be honest – absolutely horrible. So that’s how Online Blogger got started.

From hobby to profession

Web development has been my passion since I got my internet connection. I remember the day very clearly when we got it installed – it was like a whole new world was opened. Only a few months after that I started looking into website building – basic HTML. Since that my knowledge has grown and I’ve learned many more programming languages.

At first it was only my hobby – making smaller websites (my personal webpage, a small Photoshop tutorials site, website about my high-school class etc). Since late 2006 it became my profession after starting as a junior programmer in an IT company. And things have moved up from there as currently I’m a software developer for a CRM project.
