Recently I started doubting the way I manage Online Blogger. By this I mean that I write about several different topics: web development, Linux and of course WordPress. That might also be one of the main reasons some might unsubscribe from my RSS feed.
Yes that time has come again – to say goodbye to 2009 and welcome 2010!
I want to finish this year by leaving a small list of the most popular posts here on Online Blogger. It’s combined according to comment count and above all – traffic. So here goes!
Initially I wanted to wait until next year to launch these improvements but I just couldn’t wait that long. It’s like waiting to open that big christmas present under the tree – you know, the biggest present with your name on it…
When it comes to my own websites I’m never completely satisfied with the end result. I always find things that need improving or modifying. So in addition to my previous changes I’ve made a number of new improvements to increase this blogs speed and user friendliness.
Hope you’re spending it with your family and just enjoying what you have. Many presents under your christmas tree and lots of wonderful food on your tables!

I am more than happy to announce that some improvements are made to OnlineBlogger.
As some of you may remember previously the sidebar consisted of several sections. Categories, archive etc were all in their own little “boxes”. Now I’ve put all the sections in one large “box”. I’ve also added Popular Posts widget and I’m also planning on adding Top Commenters widget to it.
Also the ability to subscribe to the RSS Feed is in the top of the sidebar making it a bit easier to subscribe.
Secondly you can now reply to comments so that it shows up underneath the original comment.
I hated that when you clicked on the Reply link the page was refreshed and focused on the commenting form. So I decided to tweak it a bit. Now you are smoothly scrolled to the form without refreshing the page. A small thing but I quite like it – don’t you?
After some consideration I decided to add CommentLuv to OnlineBlogger. After seeing this wonderful plugin on some blogs I started to like it and wanted my readers to use it also on this blog.
A few more icons/images added to the sprite system to reduce load times. New style for comments, responding, trackbacks headings which should suit better with the overall design. I also made some placement changes for the responding form. And then of course made the corners round – it seems I’m quite obsessed by it.
I hope you guys like these new improvements and if you have any suggestions I would definitely like to hear them. And also all your thoughts and comments about these changes are more than welcome.
